Awesome After-School and Day Camp Kits

Bridgette Helms, our illustrious Association President, came across this wonderful tool at the recent NAE4-HA conference in Rochester, New York.

The 4-H Awesome After School Kits, from the University of Florida, offer flexibility in programming for 4-H agents and volunteers by providing the curriculum, lesson plans and a shopping guide to build four kits that center on a particular 4-H project category, allowing students to explore project areas and 4-H activities related to that topic.

The project areas each contain 3 lessons which are 60 to 90 minutes in length. For a complete educational overview, including life skill areas and academic standards, please review the Awesome Afterschool Kits Curriculum Matrix.

The Design of the Kits was made possible with funding from the Florida 4-H Foundation. Designers are Heather Kent, Monica Brinkley and Kelley Hiemstra. Any additions or suggestions please contact Heather Kent or visit the website by clicking here.
